To her surprise his spirit passes into her. Together, they transform into a leaf on a great, old tree. But Mira finds photosynthesis boring after a while and realizes that being alive is not a problem to be solved. Eventually, she remembers the human world she's left behind, including Annie, and choose whether or not to return.
